Our client is the global IT service provider for a global insurance company and delivers IT solutions that drive the digitalization of the Company Group. They provide top-quality products and services in the fields of IT Services and Operations.As a Team Lead, you will be part of an agile, cross-functional team within our clients BI Department. Together with your international team, you will take over end-to-end ownership for various business applications, contribute to world-wide rollouts and guarantee stable solutions.
Tasks:
- Disciplinary and professional management, organization and coordination of your team and their tasks
- First point of contact for all content-related questions from the customer side, including further development and coaching
- Planning, management and control of your area
- Ensuring compliance with legal, collective bargaining, company regulations, various processes and service management
- Takeover of operative tasks in IT project and IT service management as well as the identification and implementation of process optimization measures
- You will lead the System and Operations team in coordination with the division management in organizational, technical and disciplinary terms and develop it further
- Developing and maintaining effective collaborative relationships with other departments, groups, colleagues and customers (corporate, security, infrastructure)
- You drive the DevOps transformation technologically, organizationally and procedurally. In doing so, you evaluate potential for automation, cloud migration and cost savings and exploit them together with your team
- You plan and organize the operation and further development of the system and the development platform with its development environments
- Monitoring and maintenance of the technology operation to ensure the best possible availability
- Capacity planning to ensure efficient system operation, service continuity and minimization of downtime of all systems and equipment
Must have:
- 3-5 years of experience in operation and support on various applications
- Experience in vendor coordination and on operating environments, ()
- Experience in making decision and appropriate escalation
- Agile leadership and DevOps principles
- Three years of experience in agile projects (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Team building skills and Analytical problem solving skills
- Effective verbal, presentation and listening communications skills as well as effective written communication skills
- Higher degree in computer science and international project management or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experience in IT support, Administration and Operations.
- Experience in staff management and team working including cross-cultural teams
- Excellent organizational, time and stress management skills
- Database knowledge (DB2, Oracle or relevant databases)
- Good Knowledge of Java concepts (e.g. Interfaces, Abstract Classes, Generics, Thread, TDBC, Collections Framework, Exception Handling, )
Nice to have:
- Practical Experience developing Java-based applications
- Practical Experience debugging Java code (preferably in Eclipse IDE)
- Practical Experience with OOP Concepts (Encapsulation, Inheritance vs. Delegation, Access Operators, Simple Design Patterns (e.g., GoF, ))
- Practical Experience with technical documentation of batch processes (preferably in Rochade)Compensation & Benefits
