More than 40 years of research and development in the field of gambling systems made their company a worldwide leading supplier of gambling products. To support their team in Budapest, we are looking for an System Requirements Engineer
Tasks:
- Testing of our gaming application
- Consult with the Product Owner and the stakeholders (business and technical stakeholders) on an ongoing basis to understand and consolidate their needs and expectations
- At the Epic level, make sure the upcoming Epics are properly refined before implementation, so they meet the Definition of Ready (DoR) criteria
- Create thorough software specifications that guide development, while keeping them clear and accessible for business stakeholders
- Bundle the business and technical requirements in the story backlog (breaking down the Epics into Stories)
- Work with the Product Owner to refine and prioritize the epic backlog, and plan release content, ensuring development efforts deliver maximum stakeholder value
- Prepare (together with the implementation team) backlog entries (stories, spikes, enhancements, bugs, etc.) for the upcoming (2-3 max.) sprints that meet the criteria of the Definition of Ready for Stories
- Participate in agile ceremonies and cross-team syncs
- Be available to the implementation team for technical queries and ensure that the right contact person is available for queries about requirements
- Prepare / create client presentations and conduct internal sessions to educate colleagues about system functions, if required
Requirements:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or engineering, or an equivalent professional background
- You want to work with complex and diverse business processes and requirements
- You have experience (3+ years) in writing software specifications, preferably for transaction-based systems
- You have strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders (business clients in international enterprise environments)
- You would like to use your excellent English and German on a daily basis
- You have the following strengths: personal initiative, high level of quality awareness, accuracy and team spirit
