We are looking for an experienced VMWare and MS Server Engineer. This is a full-time, open-ended, on-site, employee role.
Responsibilities
- Build and install Windows Server Software (2012 – 2019)
- Maintain Microsoft and VMware infrastructure.
- System and infrastructure log analyses.
- Potential issue and/or problem identification and resolution – Level 3
- Routine audits of systems and software.
- Designing server, storage and backup systems.
- Manage storage systems (NetApp).
- Install patches and configuration changes during after-hours and routine maintenance windows.
- Monitor system performance and health, perform system tuning and optimizations.
- Develop and draft technical documentation, including preparation and maintenance of standard operating procedures related to the network and/or systems supported.
- Experience with PowerShell.
Required tech skills
- 5+ years of Windows Server Administration
- 5+ years of server hardware experience, physical (blades, towers, and racks) and Virtualized.
- 5+ years of VMWare administration (worked with an infrastructure that has at least 2-300 hosts and dozens of clusters)
- 5+ years of backup and recovery (files, systems, bare metal or snap)
- Server experience (Windows, Linux), storage (NetApp), optional backup (CommVault)
- Years of IT experience required 7+ years working with large organizational structures and infrastructure scopes
- Fluent English written and verbal skills
Desired tech skills
- Ansible automation experience
- Experience with Service Now
- Familiar with different hardware configurations a plus
- PowerShell
- Open for occasional after-hours support
