We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to become our integral team member working on solutions for reducing green shouse gases. You will
actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. In this role,you will collaborate closely and remotely with the full software team in Budapest and Stafa (Switzerland) on a daily basis. We expect you to take strong ownership of your work. You will have the opportunity to meaningfully influence technical decisions and help shape the future.
Responsibilities
- Governance and cost management of Azure subscriptions
- Establishment and synchronization of development environments (e.g., Databricks and cloud infrastructure)
- Implementation of role-based access control (RBAC)
- Support for migrations, including the transition to Databricks Unity Catalog, as well as future platform migrations
- Setup and operation of automated security and vulnerability scanning
- Ensuring the scalability and reliability of the Nubo solution
- Management of infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
- Implementation of systematic logging, monitoring, and alerting
- Applying Infrastructure as Code best practices
- Ownership of backup and disaster recovery concepts
- Support with automated verification for our ISO9001 and ISO27001 certification.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in platform engineering or cloud infrastructure roles
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Productive experience with data platforms and storage, in particular Databricks, PostgreSQL, and Cosmos DB
- Solid understanding of networking, security in cloud environments
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure ecosystem (include services like Azure Functions, ACA, Event Hub, etc.)
- Strong Azure AD/ Entra ID foundations – RBAC, PIM, managed identities, SCIM/SSO integration, service principals
- Experience in monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Zabbix, Grafana, etc.)
- Familiarity with CI pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines)
- 2-3 year experience of operating data platforms, preferably Databricks, in production: Proven delivery of secure, private, and compliant data platforms deployments with policy-backed governance
- Experience in design and operations of logging & alerting (e.g. with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights)
