Our client is the global IT service provider for a global insurance company and delivers IT solutions that drive the digitalization of the Company Group. With more than 10,000 employees located in 36 countries around the globe, they work together with other insurance entities in leading IT for the worldwide digitalization of the Company. They are now hiring a JAVA BACKEND DEVELOPER.
Tasks
- Gathering, analyzing and checking of functional and technical requirements
- Implementation of requirements in given technical design
- Software development in agile teams and input to methods of software engineering
- Develop and later maintain, optimize, and service software or application components
- Ensure maintainability of developed software
- Consideration of aspects Performance, data security, IT security and ergonomics/usability in as part of
- software development
- Ensure operational stability of software
- Collaboration with business experts/analysts and designers
- Work with the frontend team to gather requirements and implement the services according to the architectural blueprint
Requirements
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Written and spoken German on intermediate level is an advantage
- Experience in the area of object-oriented and responsive application development
- Experience with common development environments, test methods and software engineering tools (IntelliJ,
- GIT, Unit-Testing, Jira, etc.)
- Good knowledge of modern IT infrastructure and cloud solutions
- Ability to work independently, high level of commitment, flexibility and resilience
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Strong result and quality orientation
- Quick grasp and conceptual, strategic as well as analytical working skills
- Ability to independently execute tasks in non-standard (constantly changing) work situations
Skills and technologies
- Coding / programming skills are required in Java, SpringBoot, Rest/HTTP Services, JUnit, Mockito
- Experience with Spock/Groovy, Lombok, Java Data-Binding Frameworks (e. g. JPA, Hibernate, DBI), Gradle/Maven, GIT, Swagger/OpenAPI, JSON
- Experience with CQRS and event sourcing
- Experience with SonarCube, Jenkins, SQLite, SQL, JCE/Bouncycastle is a plus
- Understanding of test management processes and (related) software (e.g. Jira, SonarCube, Pipelines)
- Develop Java/SpringBoot based backend, following the API first principle
- Development in IntelliJ
- Strong focus on Unit -Testing
- Cloud environment (AWS, Azure)
