We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect to lead and drive the implementation of Google Cloud Platform solutions at a major banking company in Hungary. The collaboration is expected to be at least 1 year, full time.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive cloud architecture designs based on business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical specifications and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Design and implement scalable and secure GCP solutions, considering performance, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Lead the implementation of Google Cloud Platform services and features.
- Configure and deploy cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Manage cloud resources efficiently to optimize costs while maintaining optimal performance.
- Implement and enforce security best practices in GCP environments.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements within the banking sector.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders.
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide guidance on best practices.
- Implement performance tuning strategies to optimize the overall efficiency of GCP solutions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or GCP Architect, with a focus on designing and implementing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services, features, and capabilities.
- Strong understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in cloud environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and practices is desirable.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools is a plus.
