We are looking to hire an experienced and passionate Data Operations Expert. Under the guidance of the Service & CX Desing Lead, the new team member will work closely with PMs, POs, and DEVs to establish and facilitate the design process for new products and concepts. This role involves building quality interactions between users and products/services, creating intuitive user journeys and high-quality visual designs that deliver “delightful´ user experiences.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor data infrastructure to ensure smooth operation.
- Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Ensure data availability and accessibility for users.
- Manage backups and disaster recovery processes.
- Collaborate with Data Software Engineers and Data System Specialists to resolve issues and improve infrastructure performance.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data infrastructure processes.
- Follow agile methodology and the best practices of the digital engineering team.
About your experience
- 3+ years of production support of SQL based data platforms.
- 2+ years of AWS/Azure PaaS preferred.
- 2+ years in scriptwriting using R, Python, PIG, HIVE, SQL, etc.
- Databricks experience is an advantage.
- Retail IT domain background is a plus.
- University or college degree with specialization in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Certifications in database management or cloud computing are a plus.
- Strong command of SQL for data querying, manipulation, and performance tuning in relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools, such as Nagios and ELK stack.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with ETL tools and processes
- Experience with big data technologies and real-time data processing is a plus
- Experience in working with agile methodology and following the best practices of the digital engineering team.
- Python and Bash for scripting and automation.
- Read, interpret, write, modify, and execute simple scripts (e.g., PERL, VBS) on Windows system.
- Practical experience generating process documentation and reports.
- Professional usage of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.
