We are looking for a Data Engineer for a stable, long-term opportunity within a professionally strong organization delivering enterprise projects mainly in the banking and telecom sectors; vendor-independent license and cloud advisory, as well as supporting clients with software, cloud, data, and AI-driven solution selection and implementation. The position focuses on building and optimizing data solutions using Databricks and AWS in complex, large-scale environments. The role operates in a hybrid model with one day per week on-site presence.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data architectures using Databricks
- Integrate structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources
- Use and manage AWS services in real project environments
- Ensure data quality, security, and governance best practices throughout the data lifecycle
- Work directly with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Participate in architectural design and technical decision-making
- Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, processes, and best practices
- Support knowledge sharing and team development
Requirements
- 4–5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related role
- Hands-on experience with: Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Experience with Azure data services (Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse)
- Experience with AWS services
- Strong communication skills in English and Hungarian
Nice to Have
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or other unified data platforms
- Knowledge of CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Familiarity with Lakehouse or Medallion architectures
- Experience in data migration or modernization projects
- Relevant certifications (Databricks, Azure, AWS)
- Interest or experience in AI / ML solutions
