Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines to ingest, store, and
- process large amounts of financial market data
- Work with the Data Scientist to ensure that the data infrastructure supports the
- data analysis and modeling requirements
- Maintain and optimize existing data infrastructure, and identify opportunities for
- improvement
- Collaborate with traders, stakeholders, and other members of the development
- team to understand their data requirements and design data-driven solutions that
- meet their needs
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the trading and finance
- domain and use that knowledge to inform data infrastructure design
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the field of data
- engineering and identify opportunities for improvement in the data infrastructure
- Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs effectively to traders,
- stakeholders, and other members of the development team
Requirements
- Strong background in data engineering, with experience designing and
- implementing scalable and efficient data pipelines
- Experience with data storage solutions, such as relational databases and data
- warehouses
- Experience with cloud-based data processing solutions, such as Apache Spark
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement
- improvements to the data infrastructure
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work
- effectively with traders, stakeholders, and other members of the development
- team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
- simultaneously
- Knowledge of the trading and finance domain is a plus
