We are currently seeking a Data Engineer to strengthen our team and provide technical guidence and on-going support.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the implementation of advanced data solutions within Microsoft Azure, emphasizing a minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering.
- Focus on developing and optimizing ETL processes, crafting robust data models, and constructing analytical pipelines within the Finance domain.
- Contribute significantly to the ongoing development and maintenance of ETL processes and data models that underpin crucial analytical pipelines.
- Participate actively in architectural discussions surrounding cloud data warehousing and machine learning platforms, showcasing expertise with a focus on Azure and Databricks.
- Design and execute efficient cloud infrastructure solutions, utilizing an infrastructure-as-code approach to streamline operations.
- Provide expert technical support to business and content teams, addressing strategic technology platform needs, and actively participating in issue resolution.
- Adhere to and advocate for software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, and continuous integration (CI).
- Engage in pre-sale activities such as processing RFPs, developing proposals, and communicating effectively with potential clients to showcase the depth of experience in Azure and Databricks.
- Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, with a strong focus on Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and related services.
- Certification in Azure is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing Data Lake and data warehouse solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Data Services and Architecture.
- Proficient in Python and JavaScript for development.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, ARM, and Bicep.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, with a strong focus on Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and related services.
- Certification in Azure is highly desirable.

- Exposure to technologies like Airflow, Collibra, Docker, Kubernetes, and open-source databases (Postgres, SQL, MariaDB, MySQL).
- Experience with AWS data services and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with OpenAI services and Azure AI services.
- Knowledge of data governance tools like Purview and Collibra.
- Exposure to Azure Analysis Services, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Data Explorer, and streaming technologies such as Azure Stream Analytics and Kafka.
- Understanding of Azure IoT Hub.
