We are looking for a Data Analyst with strong experience in data warehousing and a solid understanding of banking domain concepts to support the transition from an on-prem Oracle-based data warehouse to a Databricks platform.
In this role, you will be responsible for reverse-engineering existing PL/SQL-based ETL logic and working closely with the Databricks team to define and specify the new data loading logic. You will need to analyze existing Oracle PL/SQL code, extract business logic, and help re-map these processes into the target cloud-based architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reverse-engineer data warehouse loading logic implemented in Oracle PL/SQL
- Analyze and understand existing ETL pipelines and data flows
- Work closely with data engineers to specify logic that needs to be reimplemented on Databricks
- Translate PL/SQL-based data transformations into business-level documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate mapping and migration of data processes
- Support data governance and compliance efforts (Collibra experience is a strong plus)
- Understand and analyze banking-related datasets (e.g., loans, current accounts, financial products)
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst in banking or financial services
- Solid understanding of banking data models and core concepts (e.g., loans, current accounts, transactions)
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills
- Hands-on experience with Oracle and on-prem data warehouse systems
- Experience working with data engineers and providing clear logic specifications
- Ability to read, understand, and document complex ETL processes
- Familiarity with data governance/compliance tools – Collibra experience is a big plus
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in both technical and business contexts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Databricks or cloud-based data platforms
- Previous involvement in data warehouse migrations or modernization projects
- Knowledge of data lineage and metadata management practices
