As a Cloud Platform Operations professional, you will be an integral part of a highly skilled and collaborative team responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Azure Infrastructure administration
- IaaS/PaaS configuration management
- Troubleshooting issues in the operational environments, including follow-up problem resolution, root cause analysis and change implementation
- Service desk consulting and solving escalated cases (or passing them to L3)
- Perform operational tasks for multiple services and technologies according to agreed SLA levels
- Create knowledge articles that can help to troubleshoot platform related issues
- Maintain and monitor the healthy sate of end-customer environments
- On a rotational on call basis to provide out of business hours support as part of our 8 x 5, later 12×7 coverage
- Update support and operational documentation as required
- Ensure good change management practice is implemented as specified by ITIL4
- Integrate Azure monitoring solution with internal Incident management people, process and tools. (Azure Monitor, Application Insights)
- Gather requirements and provide continuous feedback loops between IT security and the Cloud CoE team
Requirements
- Experience (2+ years) working within an operations team of a large complex multinational environment
- Awareness of an ITSM frameworks (Support, Delivery and Implementation)
- Understanding of Identity and Access Management principles and tools (e.g. Privileged Access)
- An understanding of role based access controls and organizational hierarchies roactively identify manual activates to feed into service improvements (Automation)
- Experience in dealing with multiple support groups that contribute to a service
- In depth experience with Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft identity related technologies (AD/ADFS) knowledge and experience
- Experience/knowledge with configuring and troubleshooting Windows based solutions
- Experience/knowledge with virtualization tools and solutions (Hyper-V)
- Experience/knowledge with Azure Monitor
- Experience/knowledge with scrip languages (Powershell, Azure CLI)
- Experience/knowledge with Firewalls and IT security
- Basic understanding and experience with ITSM systems (preferably ITIL4)
- Experiencewith ne tworks (OSI layers, TCP/IP, Routes, VPN)
- Experience with installing, and configuring Linux based environments (RHEL)
