We are looking for an Cloud Engineer to join the team of our Japanese car manufacturing partner.
This role is for an IT Coordinator related toTechnical Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering supporting their existing AWS platform as well as any future cloud related deployments, strategy and design for AWS or other cloud environment.
Tasks
- Responsible for managing existing and future cloud infrastructure and platforms.
- Assist in developing and implementing cloud strategy for current and future infrastructure.
- Assist in architecting cloud offering for all internal customers.
- Provide guidance to infrastructure, architecture, project and developments teams on cloud design, support, and functionality.
- Assist in determining the placement of existing and future applications within the cloud.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams on cloud-based deployments and future strategies.
- Work with product owners and application support teams to develop and implement cloud migration plans where appropriate.

- Develop and implement best practice around security management, availability management, and release management.
- Create and maintain relevant documentation and ensure it is accurate and current.
- Management of projects (or specific parts of projects) to achieve business benefits within quality, time & budget constraints. Compliance with current standards (i.e. JSOX) is also expected.
- To support / manage teams, including internal and/or external staff, to achieve scheduled objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience of proving key support for/delivering IT Projects within Cloud Platforms.
- Experience with cloud deployment strategies.
- Experience with cloud monitoring tools and deployment methodologies.
- Experience implementing security best practices.
- Possess scripting language skills including Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation and AWS CLI.
- Amazon Web Services VPC, EC2, RDS, etc.
- Basic understanding of networking and network technologies, including subnets, CIDRs, routing and firewalls.
- Basic understanding of code repos and CI/CD technologies – Git, Bitbucket, CodePipeline, Jenkins.
- Ability to develop strategic technical documentation and written communications relative to field of expertise (policies, process documents, procedural documents, and quick reference guides).
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Proactive approach to self-learning and development.
