Our Montenegro-based partner is launching a major MS Cloud transformation project and looking for an experienced Azure Engineer to support the full transition from their current on-premise environment to Microsoft Azure. You will be the primary Azure expert on the project and play a key role not only in the technical implementation but also in transferring knowledge to the local team
Tasks
- Assess the current on-prem infrastructure and define the target Azure architecture.
- Design and implement Azure-based solutions in line with MS Cloud best practices.
- Create and maintain Terraform IaC configurations for Azure deployments.
- Lead the cloud migration process step by step.
- Document cloud environments, setups, and procedures.
- Provide ongoing guidance and mentorship to the internal team.
- Collaborate closely with local IT and stakeholders.
- Participate in on-site work in Montenegro (typically two visits (Monday-Thursday) per month following the predefined travel schedule).
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (architecture, migration, networking, governance).
- Proven experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Solid background in infrastructure or cloud engineering (not a DevOps role).
- Experience working with on-prem environments and designing cloud transition paths.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable teaching and mentoring a team.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Willingness to travel regularly to Montenegro (travel schedule already fixed; all costs covered).
Nice to have
- Experience in banking or regulated environments.
- Azure certifications (e.g. AZ-104, AZ-305).
- Previous cloud-migration project experience.
