Our client is an international insurance group based in Vienna and is currently looking for a Senior Defect Manager. The position is hybrid (HO+Vienna) and requires fluent German and English.
Tasks
- Management of the defect process for clarification and prioritization of defects including clarification of responsibilities and forwarding to the responsible colleagues
- Tracking of progress and integration of fixed defects in collaboration with the release management
- Tracking of integrations into releases and test verifications in collaboration with QA / Testing, including automated tests
- Quality assurance and evaluation of defects
- Initiation & monitoring of escalation processes for relevant defects
- Maintenance of the defect database and creation of weekly status reports
- Participation in customer meetings and creation of defect reports
- Further development of processes & tools regarding defect avoidance & time optimization
- Compliance with the required measures for timely fixing and re-testing
- Conceptual setup and ongoing operation of a defect board
Requirements
- University degree, ideally in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification
- At least 3 years of professional experience in IT project management / defect management, ideally in large projects in the IT and/or insurance industry
- Several years of experience in the entire software development process
- Project management certification is a plus
- Good user knowledge of MS Office package as well as planning/project management tools and ideally JIRA/Confluence
- Good general knowledge of development, testing, and deployment tools, as well as databases, IT programming languages, etc. on various IT infrastructure platforms
