We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team and work in the Public Mobility and Infrastructure sector.This is a part-time position with remote work options.The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge in DB administration and MS SQL, as well as the ability to work independently and proactively engage with clients. We value long-term commitment and stability, and the initial contract will be until December 31, 2023, with the possibility of extension until December 31, 2024.
Responsibilities
- Manage and administer complex Multi-Terabyte databases, ensuring their smooth operation and optimal performance.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, conducting regular maintenance tasks and implementing necessary updates.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide effective database solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any database-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in database administration.
- Document database processes, procedures, and configurations for future reference.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of DB administration, with a focus on Multi-Terabyte database systems.
- Proficiency in MS SQL and related tools.
- Proven ability to work independently and drive/steer client interactions while actively contributing with innovative ideas.
- Long-term availability (>1.5 years) is strongly desired, as the client emphasizes the need for a stable development team.
- Strong communication skills in German.
